Chemical plant protection agents, such as pesticides and agrochemicals, are seasonal products and their packaging must guarantee the preservation of product quality even during long-term storage. Therefore, pesticides and agrochemicals are packaged in special containers made of polymer materials. After losing its consumer properties, it must be disposed of. Its use for storing water, food, animal feed and other household needs is strictly prohibited.
 

Since plastic itself is almost “eternal” material that does not decompose over time, and its burning can harm humans and the environment, the disposal of such containers should be carried out not by business entities themselves, but by a specialized enterprise.
 

And in the case of containers for pesticides and agrochemicals, which are allocated to a separate group of persistent organic pollutants, the problem of high toxicity and bioaccumulative properties is added. Therefore, on the territory of agricultural enterprises, premises for temporary storage of containers must be provided, with a solid waterproof coating and equipment that eliminates environmental pollution in the course of waste storage. Later, empty containers from pesticides and agrochemicals must be transferred under a contract to a company that is professionally engaged in the processing of hazardous waste.

From now on, all farmers and agrarians of Ukraine have been provided with unprecedented opportunity to hand over their used containers from pesticides and agrochemicals to UKRECOPROM LLC for free treatment. We cover the costs of disposal, transportation and treatment of plant protection product containers entirely by ourselves.⠀
