UKREKOPROM and EBA Odesa Hold Waste Management Conference for Business

On June 24, LLC "NVK UKREKOPROM", together with the Southern Ukrainian Office of the European Business Association (EBA Odesa), organized an open meeting of the Environmental Working Group dedicated to the topic "Waste Management for Business: New Requirements, Practical Experience and Real Challenges."

The event brought together representatives of the business community, government authorities, local self-government bodies, the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA), industry associations, and environmental experts to discuss the ongoing transformation of Ukraine's waste management sector in line with European integration requirements.

The discussion focused on the implementation of the Law of Ukraine "On Waste Management", the responsibilities of waste generators, waste traceability, digitalization of reporting systems, and the risks associated with working with non-compliant waste operators. Participants also exchanged views on practical challenges businesses face while adapting to the new regulatory framework.

During the event, the UKREKOPROM team shared its practical experience in hazardous waste management, transparency and process control, as well as presented the company's ongoing investment projects aimed at developing modern waste treatment infrastructure and energy recovery solutions.
