On October 14, 2025, the Environmental Working Group of the European Business Association (EBA Odesa) held an outreach meeting in support of restoring the Odesa Botanical Garden, which had been damaged by military actions.

The initiative was supported by UKREKOPROM, a leading Ukrainian environmental operator specializing in hazardous waste management, and CMA CGM, an international logistics company.

Shared goal — restoring natural balance

Participants planted new trees to help rejuvenate the Botanical Garden and preserve Odesa’s green heritage. The event symbolized unity, environmental responsibility, and the desire to bring life back where it was lost.

“Environmental safety begins with small steps.
By planting trees today, we invest in clean air,
a healthy future, and the sustainable development of our city,”
— stated UKREKOPROM representatives.

Corporate environmental responsibility

UKREKOPROM consistently supports ecological initiatives focused on improving waste management culture, promoting environmental education, and restoring natural resources across Ukraine. The tree-planting campaign continues the company’s commitment to sustainability and responsible partnership with local communities.

Together for a green future

With the support of partners and volunteers, the event brought together representatives from various sectors to make Odesa cleaner, greener, and more livable.
Such initiatives prove that collaboration between business, communities, and environmental organizations can yield tangible results even in challenging times.
